Water and Hearing Aids – A Bad Mix
Just as hearing aids do not like wax blockages, they don’t like water much – from whatever source; internal perspiration, dropping them in the bath, showering or swimming with them on. UNLESS you have latest waterproof aids – capable of withstanding being submerged two metres underwater.
So, if you don’t have the specially designed waterproof aids, keep them dry by using a drying container each night – remember to open the battery door. If you use the latest electronic battery charger, it will perform the drying function automatically.
